My Upgraded Remote Recording Process

Step 1: My Kit
I’ll send you a “remote recording” kit to borrow. It includes a light, a microphone, and a webcam. I’ll walk you through setting it up with your computer. It comes with a prepaid label so it’s easy to ship it back to me!

Step 2: My Pre-Interview
We have a quick intro. video call using my remote recording platform (much better than Zoom)! We get to know each other and I ask you and your family for stories or themes you want me to be sure I gather in our interview.

Step 3: My Interview
The interview lasts about an hour and we do it online —like Zoom but better. I help you make sure your kit is set up and your background looks nice.
I’ll ask questions, listen, and follow the conversation. We might be surprised with what comes up!
If you purchased an interview only package, we’re done! I’ll send you the full interview without any edits. You can download and keep it forever. -
Step 4: My Edit
If you purchased a full edit, this step includes editing your video into a short, single theme, mini-documentary like the ones on my site as remotely recorded samples.
My professional storytelling team works hard to edit the video into a mini-movie story. That’s the hardest part. Then we add music, adjust the audio, do color correction, and include your photos!
When it’s done, your video will be uploaded online so you can share a link. You’ll also be able to download the video so you can keep it forever.
